Main objetives are:

1- To replace and reconfigure the existing disparate conservatory and patio to the rear at lower ground level, which are in a bad condition with a simple Lower Ground Floor extension which would perform better from heat-loss/energy efficiency point of view and that would allow a small Terrace at Ground Floor Level and access to the Patio and Garden. This new Extension would create a larger open plan kitchen/dining/living Room. ( image below)

Also to enlarge the patio towards the rear garden, by doing this ALEZ Architects  wish to obtain more light at Lower Ground floor level, which currently is almost inhabitable due to a lack of natural light.

2- To create a small terrace and a stair to access the garden and the patio from Ground floor level and a top roof Terrace.

3-A small Third floor extension which will add an extra bathroom

Also the property will be refurbished to current standards and re-designed, we will upgrade the internal fabric and mechanical, electrical and ventilation services throughout the entire house to comply with the current Building Regulations and living standards.

The whole house will be upgraded. This will constitute a significance in thermal performance of the building.

Lower Ground Floor Extension and Patio aims to make maximum use of the natural light, the additional natural light afforded by it will improve the living standards within the building.
