At Alez Architecure & Interiors we believe that there should be a harmonious balance between the height and the width of a space. The horizontal component of any space is what brings a calm and relaxing feeling, while the vertical is the “counterbalance”, so the proportions of these two basic architectural elements must be carefully thought out and designed :

-5 Tips to enhance ceiling height:

1-Integrated skirting, shadow gap instead of skirting or skirting’s colour to match wall’s, the final objective being to blend the skirting zone with the wall.

2-Inverted coving LED strip-light gaps: by omitting or hiding the junction between the wall and the ceiling we create a limitless effect that enhances height.

3-Shelves with vertical lines, floor-to-ceiling shelves and kitchen cabinets, emphasizing vertical patterns.

4-Vertical patterned timber-clad walls: on the one hand they will tighten up the space, and on the other hand, the vertical patterns will enhance the height.

5- Floor-to-ceiling doors, resulting in a clean, vertical opened shape, but it should be noted that these are costly.
